NEWSLETTER FOR 3 RIVERS COMICON

Hey guys!

Long time without posting goodies for you on this blog. But here we are again in this beautiful day, to give you some updates of what is happening with my projects and art work. A month ago, Joseph and I went for our trip to Colombia. IT WAS AWESOME. I was able to see my family again and they were able to meet Joseph in person. Also, I was so happy to see my own country through the eyes of my husband. But that is for another post! After Colombia, things in USA became very intense. Lots of work and preparation for the #3Riverscomicon, PLUS freelance work for me, PLUS the bathroom had to be repaired and the landlord couldn't finished it on time, PLUS the house is being a mess after all the handwork inside the house. Somehow, everything came together at the same time. But I was able to manage, I have no idea how but I guess I was living in automatic mode for two months. Just, wake up, do some coffee, work, work, lunch, work, and work some more.

From all the intensity of these two months I was able to obtain some rewards. All the tears and pains paid off. One of these rewards was a satirical Newsletter I created for the #3RiversComicon that I wanted to give away for free to the people that would walk by my table. People love free stuff, and what good way to show a bit of myself than creating a newsletter about my work and my social media...

I really enjoyed making it and I got some good responses about it. Even some of the readers asked me if it was a monthly publishing...And I was like...Uuuuuuuuuuuummmm... Should I?

And here is me, showing of my precious:

So, here is the PDF file for download, for those of you who would like to read it or print it. I hope you enjoy it and have fun with my craziness.

NEW VIDEO [English CC]

Hey guys!

I finally mad a new video for my Youtube Channel, LEARNING AMERICA. After all this time, I think I needed to make it. It is in Spanish but I will make some subtitles tomorrow (I am pretty tired, video editing is hard work) so all of my friends can enjoy it.

The theme of the video is Those First Loves In America, meaning the things that I loved of the United States when I arrived and that still trap my heart for this country.

TAROT CARDS ARE DONE, GUYS!

Hey Guys!

So, for this #Inktober2016 I decided to make a Major Arcana Deck. I finished it a couple of days ago, so here is the preview of all the cards:

Right now I'm trying to figure out what else to do for the rest of #Inktober, but I feel a little burnt out! I think I will continue with some portraits and play a little with my new Red Ink, the one I got a month ago!

Have a great Weekend!

CLEANING SUPPLIES - LIFE OF A COMMONER

Hey Guys!

Today I decided to make some cleaning in the apartment. It really needed it! I found a floor cleaner that is very popular in Colombia in a Dollar Store here in Cleveland. I know this is not going to be new or exciting for Latinos living here in the US, but for me it means a lot.

My grandma uses this product to clean and perfume her floors back in Colombia. Because houses in the city where I'm from are mostly opened (lots of big windows and opened areas), the perfume stays for a little while. It is a strong perfume so you must stretch it with some water. It is very soapy so it works as a perfume and cleaner.

I am so happy, that I am using it. I think I like it better than the Swiffer wet pads. And the whole place smells like my grandma's house :')

And just for $1!!
